Russia-2008

I consider the issues selected for discussion at the summit very timely. They are the basic concerns of mankind which trouble the world community. It’s necessary to solve these problems quickly to insure a good future. It goes without saying that when the summit ends, these problems will not be fully worked out, as it just isn’t realistic. These concerns will be on the agenda of one summit after the other, because they need a definite course of action for their solution. That is to say, a program that will be developed not by just one group, but by a variety of global organizations, such as the United Nations and UNICEF. These problems must be worked on constantly to be able to eventually solve them. I believe that those participating in the J8 Summit can absolutely play an active role in solving the global problems on the G8 Summit’s agenda. The J8 Summit participants will compose a letter to the G8 world leaders, which is aimed at voicing their attitudes and perspectives on these issues and proposing some concrete and creative ways to solve them.
If I was meeting with the G8 leaders, my advice would be for them to analyze the world situation more often and to conduct as many meeting as possible at different levels. I believe that these world leaders should listen to the opinion of young people, not only at the G8 Summit, but also have regular meetings with such teens. Today’s youth have access to far more information that did the previous generation, and certainly have their opinions on global issues.
