Summing Up the 2009 J8 Summit
On July 13, 2009, the Russian J8 Delegation returned from Rome, after participating in the J8 Summit from July 4-12, which took place concurrently with the G8 Summit.
J8 Summit - 2010 will be hosted by Canada
This year the event is called MY SUMMIT 2010. It is the official international youth summit that will be held alongside the G8 and the G20 summits. The G8 component of MY SUMMIT 2010 will take place in Muskoka, Ontario, from June 23 to 25. Youth delegates will discuss, debate and negotiate the same themes that will be considered at the G8 Leaders’ Summit. The debates will culminate in the development of a final communiqué that will be presented to leaders at the G8 Summit. The youth delegates from G8 countries will then travel to Toronto for the G20 segment of the summit that will be held from June 26 to 27.
